In science our aim is that students enjoy their science lessons, and through them learn scientific knowledge and skills. Students will use this learning to think more deeply when solving science problems and also when they encounter scientific issues. They will develop a love of, and an interest in, science that they will carry through their lives.

We also seek to encourage and support those students who might take science A Levels, and we aim to increase the number that do this. During Year 9, some of our students start to follow a Triple Science pathway, while most will complete a Combined Science qualification worth two GCSEs.
