Religious Studies
The Curriculum intent of Religious Studies is to provide opportunities for students to explore diverse religious and philosophical views. Students should be able to challenge the expression of religious belief through articulating their own judgement, including evaluating their own understanding of meaning and purpose. Students should have a firm understanding of the importance of sources of wisdom and how they can be used to understand different religious traditions. Students will see the value of religious and non-religious expression in order to play a positive role within society.
All students study R.S throughout their time at St Catherine’s. As part of their option choices, Students are able to choose to complete a GCSE qualification as part of their option choices. Those who do not choose this will continue with R.S as a core, non-qualification class.
