I have been teaching Geography for 26 years. After completing my teacher training in London I moved down to the south coast and have taught at a variety of schools in and around Eastbourne. I have been Head of Department at St Catherines for the past 7 years. I have two children who are now grown up. I have a passion for refugees and spent two years volunteering once a month in the Calais 'jungle' with migrants and asylum seekers. I also volunteered for two years as a Beachy head chaplain and was trained in working with people who are at their lowest.
I have a passion for teaching about climate change and trained as a UN accredited climate change teacher and was one of the first in the country which led to my appearance on Sky news to talk about climate change education in schools.
In my free time I enjoy travelling, adventure, long distance trial running and my cat.
