Reading has the ability to expand worlds, sharpen minds and fuel creativity.

At St Catherine's College we want to ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop a love of reading with plentiful resources to suit a variety of interests. In support of our commitment to literacy, we launched a book donation campaign to expand the resources available and the chance to win prizes in the process. We were delighted with the response, which generated an additional 1242 resources for our bookshelves. Thank you to all those who generously donated.

Within each area of our curriculum, we utilise these symbols as a consistent visual aid to make reading part of our everyday learning. Reading is not just an English subject or leisure time pursuit! Reading assists everyone in expanding their vocabulary, which then benefits every area of learning.
