Science

In science our aim is that pupils enjoy their science lessons, and through them learn scientific knowledge and skills. Pupils will use this learning to think more deeply when solving science problems and also when they encounter scientific issues. Pupils will develop a love of, and an interest in, science that they will carry through their lives.

We also seek to encourage and support those pupils who might take science A Levels and we aim to increase the number that do this. During year nine some of our pupils start to follow a Triple Science pathway, while most will complete a Combined Science qualification worth two GCSEs.

Please find full details of the curriculum for all year groups below. If you have any queries, please get in touch with Mr M Clayton-Harding, Head of Science.
