INDIVIDUAL NEEDS ASSISTANT

Salary:  Single Status Grade 3 • £15,377 - £15,809 pa pro rata • 30 hours per week

Required ASAP

We require an Individual Needs Assistant to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them at St Catherine’s College.

Please note that this is a fixed term post linked to the pupil for whom the post holder is the INA.

The pupil you will be working with is in Year 7 and will require physical support and personal care from his INA. He is in a wheelchair and is unable to self-propel more than 50 meters and will require to be pushed in his wheelchair by his INA.  It should be noted that the wheelchair handles are at a fixed height.  This post would therefore not be suitable for a candidate who has previously experienced back problems.  He will also require personal support with toileting.

Previous experience of working in a school setting and providing physical support and personal care to a young person would be desirable.

Cover Supervisor

Salary Single Status Grade 5   £17,178 - £18,070 pa pro rata
Paid principal lunchtime supervisor duties also available to further enhance salary + free meal

30 hours per week – term time only

Fixed term post until July 2018, however can be permanent for suitably experienced applicant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed applicant to undertake whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher. 

This post is ideal for those who are thinking about pursuing a career in teaching.  Classroom experience is often a prerequisite for a route into teaching.

If you are interested in developing your teaching skills in the classroom and would enjoy working in a busy and challenging secondary school environment this is the job for you.

CLEANER REQUIRED

An Experienced and reliable cleaner is required as soon as possible to join our premises team.  Our cleaners work from 3.45pm to 7.45pm Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, 45 weeks per year.

Our cleaners are paid at local government single status Grade 1, scale point 2, which equates to £7.78 per hour.

PA to Senior Leadership Team

Salary Single Status Grade 5   •   £17,178 - £18,070 pa pro rata 

17 hours per week – term time only
This is a fixed term post until July 2018 in the first instance.

 We require an additional PA for our Senior Leadership Team to provide secretarial and organisational support.

This is a busy part time post and the successful applicant should have an eye for detail and possess first class grammar and punctuation skills; the ability to liaise and build positive relationships with the Senior Leadership Team and other PA’s within the Administration Team; have experience of producing documents to a high standard using Microsoft Word and Excel and be highly IT literate.
