2017 Exam Results

St Catherine’s College is delighted with our pupils’ excellent achievements. In English Language, English Literature and Maths, around 70% of our pupils achieved a ‘standard pass’, with close to half securing the impressive, new ‘strong pass’ in each subject; the combined measure was 60%. We value the success of our broad curriculum where over 90% of our pupils achieved A*-C in Religious Studies, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics, with a 100% A*-C pass rate in the vocational subjects of Motor Vehicle and Early Years. Mr Talbot, Principal, said: “We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of our staff and pupils”.

Particular congratulations go to: our Head Boy, Luke Herring, who achieved the highest, new grade 9 in both Maths and English with 12 A*/A grades; our top performing girls, Helena Jeffery, Rachel Morgan and Ella Vieweg-Avery, who achieved 11 A*/A grades; and Thomas Finn, Mohammed Akbar, Sarah D’Souza, Scott Jeffery, Nathan Le Poidevin, Shannon Townsend, Joe Panama and Lauren Seagrief, who all achieved eight or more A*/A grades.

   Awaiting data

** This year group chose their options in Year 8 before these league table measures were announced.  The  school chose not to undo the pupil choices for the sake of school data, with a consequence that only 71% of pupils had a Progress 8 and Attainment 8 qualifying curriculum.  By contrast, the current Year 11 has 93% of pupils on a full Progress 8 and Attainment 8 curriculum.
